Sophie turned 2 months today. Grandma Morphet came up from NC to visit for 10 days and was able to visit her first grandchild - it was very exciting. Sophie misses her immensely.
While Grandma M. was up - we were able to have little Sophie baptized. Sophie wore her great-great-great grandfather's christening gown. (Pretty cool.) Last time it was worn was 35 years ago when her father wore it. Hoping to get rid of the demons that possess my child during her periods of colic, (Catholic baptisms include an exorcism) I was, unfortunately, disappointed. Yup. She is my little yeller. I am banking on a mezzo soprano like her ol' mama. :)
Sophie's doggy, Buddy, is getting along very well with her. He commonly sits near her swing and her bassinet. I have begun some training with him for the up and coming events: I pull on his ears and then reward him with a treat for not reacting.
New milestones for this period include smiling and gabbing. She may look like her daddy, but she has my motor mouth. It is such much fun to hear her babble.
We are off for our first round of major shots on Thursday. (Hopefully Mommy can handle it.)
That's it for now. And now on to my 5 hours of perpetually interrupted sleep. Ah, sweet bliss.
